The Polytechnic Colleges in Karaikudi has been fortunate of being one of the project polytechnics in the World Bank assisted Second Technician Education Project. The institution has been shortlisted for the replication of CIICP (Canada India Institutional Cooperation Project). Along with it, the Entrepreneurship & Management Development (EMD) Cell, sponsored by AICTE, New Delhi, has been extending its service to the rural community out there.
