Rani Meyyammai Hostel, Chennai
Chettinad Rani Meyyammai Hostel was started in the year 1976 with the vision of providing a home away from home. The hostel is managed by the Wellingdon Trust and is located in the heart of Chennai. The hostel ensures a safe, caring and hygienic environment for students, with all modern facilities. Smt. Sigapi Ramasamy, fondly known as Achi, was instrumental in the growth of the hostel from its inception. It was her desire to provide a safe and secure environment for the girls staying away from home. Her wholehearted involvement and willingness to take care of every need of the residents of the hostel was instrumental in realizing this vision.

Sigapi Illam, Karaikudi
Sigapi Illam, a CSR initiative for senior citizens under the aegis of Chettinad Paroupakaaram Foundation, is named in memory of late Smt. Sigapi Achi. The Illam is built with a vision of creating an environment of care and well-being for senior citizens in the age group of 60-79. Built in serene surroundings, it houses a total of 48 rooms spread across 6 blocks in its seven-acre campus. The open courtyards, walkways and common spaces provide the residents a sense of personal space and togetherness of living in a community. The home is well staffed and maintained with high standards of hygiene, safety and security.
