With over a decade of experience in the field of education, Mahashweta Sengupta is the Wellness Head for Chettinad Education and Services. She was fortunate to study in an alternative education system which gave her the lens to see innovation in education,beyond the books and curriculum alone and made it possible to understand holistic and joyful learning. Mahashweta holds a Masters degree in French as a foreign language and is a certified Cambridge educator and a certified Green Educator from Green School Bali.In her current role, she helps integrate social emotional learning, sustainable mindset and development into the curriculum as well as focuses in developing reading and language rich environments and attitude building for educators across Chettinad institutions. An avid and passionate educator at heart, Mahashweta believes that education is not the filling of a bucket but the lighting of a fire! She truly believes that teaching and learning should be carried out with the aim to help learners understand themselves and instill a love for learning and make their journey a joyful one!
